Buster

0 June 11, 2017 in Happy Tails (Adopted!) by staff
Buster is one of the most interesting dogs to come through Redwood Pals Rescue. He has demonstrated strong skills that could be used for animal tracking or other detection duties, and has been working with a handler trained in tracking. The market for those skills is a little soft right now and so we are looking for a home for Buster. Buster's foster describes him as having a very gentle spirit, an ability to play fetch for hours, impressive recall, and no desire to run off He is good company in the yard or garden and is respectful to the resident female dog.Buster also loves to swim! He would make a great companion for another larger dog that also loves to play. Buster is gentle with all living things but might be too energetic for small children. He has shown no interest in chickens and is good with cats and dogs. Buster has not been oriented to the inside of a house, but he displays very nice manners and cleanliness in his garage kennel. He would probably be relatively easy to crate train. Buster would love a country home with some room to chase balls and maybe a creek to play in! He is a very loyal companion and could be an impressive competitor for scent work or other tracking competitions.
