Meet Motley! He gets his name because of his goofy, mismatched features. Motley is a Catahoula mix with short little legs, an extra-long tail, and ears that can't decide if they want to hang down or turn inside out! He is only about 4 months old, but is very intelligent and learns quickly. Motley is crate trained, is catching on to potty training, and knows "sit". He is currently being fostered with two dogs, a cat, and free range chickens. He is very respectful of all of them! Somewhere along the line, Motley learned that he needs to guard the things he finds special in life (food and toys) from other dogs. Because of this, he does need a home that can teach him that these things are plentiful and sharing is not such a bad thing! He has been showing great improvement with this issue in the short amount of time he has been in foster care. Despite his hesitancy to share, Motley really enjoys other dogs and can play for hours or just snuggle up next to them. Motley LOVES his person and doesn't usually venture too far from their side. However, when a good scent is around, his hound dog nose comes out and he turns his ears off! Therefore, he needs to work on his recall before being trusted off leash. This sweet, short boy has potential to be an incredible companion to the right person.
