Sam

0 February 26, 2016 in Happy Tails (Adopted!) by staff
This dog, Sam, is an older female Shepherd mix. She came to the shelter and needed treatment for heart worm. Her treatment is over, but now she needs a foster or forever home. During her treatment it became clear that she would prefer an only-dog home. She did fine meeting cats this evening and loves human attention, but she is not a good candidate for sharing a home with another dog. Sam walks nicely on the leash and knows some commands. She can easily be corrected from dog distractions on a walk. She is housebroken and calm in the house. Is there a place for her? She faces possible euthanasia if a suitable home can not be found. Redwood Pals is committed to helping set up a new owner with a trainer that we recommend to ensure a good placement. Please contact us here if you would like to meet Sam.
